BCDFGKLQUVWXZ

My husband thinks this blog is about Harry Potter. You will notice by the title that this is not a blog about arryha otterpa (or Hermione or Ron). Just because I've been preoccupied with it for the past couple of days doesn't mean that that's all I think about.
So there.
Well. I don't have much else to say.
Other than that I'm still a little irritated about something the Devil said on Friday.  So, run down: there was an article in the paper about colorless iodine and how it's supposed to be good for toenail fungus (gross) or something. Well, we can't get it in small bottles at the pharmacy, only in a pint sized bottle which is like $43 (yikes!). A TON of people have been asking for it, so, I said to him, couldn't we put in smaller bottles with their label on it and sell it that way?  It would be like $2.65-ish if you divided it straight out for 1 oz bottles, but you could sell it for like $5 a bottle and make a killing! Well...I thought it was a good idea...but apparently not, because he then said to me: I don't expect small town country people to understand how much of a hassle that would be.
.....
Well, excuse me. I'll go get my overalls, straw hat and piece of straw that I keep in my teeth out of the closet to complete my country bumpkin look. I think I have a hay bale that I can put in the back for me to sit on while I spit into my dip bottle and play the fiddle. Oh, and don't forget my dirty bare feet with toenail fungus that I can't cure now because I can't afford $43 for a pint of colorless iodine.
Ass hole.

Brandon:
you need to download me some music from these people:
Straight no chaser "I'm yours/Somewhere over the rainbow" from "with a twist" I could do that whole album.
John Mayer
Jack Johnson
Colbie Caillat
Jayman "gray or blue"
Matt Kearney "City of Black and White"
Ben Folds "Red is Blue"
Some of these are albums, some are songs....you know what to do.
Please. :) And thank you.
I mean, por favor y gracias.

Oh, and don't forget all the bluegrass to play in the background while I'm on that hay bale.

Today is a day like every other day

This morning I woke up with the dread of working with the devil.
It actually wasn't that bad.
But if he asks me to do something that I'm already in the middle of doing, I might throw whatever it is I'm working on at him.
Just warnin' ya. But don't warn him, I want it to be a surprise.
I have realized something about myself...a way to get myself out of bed earlier!  Well, there are some mornings that I have to get up about 7 to use the bathroom, go back to bed for a while and then inevitably get up late.  Well, this morning I tricked myself and refused to get up around 7 and it worked! I amazingly got up slightly earlier. Brandon, I think I'm on to something.

Some days I reminisce about the old days at SVU and the good ol' times I used to have, and I think of certain people. I have this old friend that I had a falling out with about 2 years ago, and I miss her.  But I don't miss the drama that surrounded her. But I miss her.  Today I made the first contact I've had with her since I deleted her from Facebook and it makes me sad today.
And this is what else is on my mind today:
Disney World! Someday soon I will go and love it. Love it. Love it. Love it.
And while I'm there....
The Harry Potter theme park! Of-course, Harry Potter is always on my mind, seeing as how I listen to Potter all the time. You know, my post yesterday was about Potter. Am I taking it a little overboard? Quite possibly.

SO, my husband is going back to school and has to read Jane Austen's Emma for one of his classes....AND I'M SO EXCITED! Emma is quite possibly my favorite book ever (favorite single book) and is most definitely my favorite Austen book, and I get to to read it along with Brandon.  WOO HOO!!! I have been trying to get him to read Austen for a while, but he has a hard time with the language, I think. But he has watched the movie, so he knows the plot already, so I think it'll help a lot.

I am amazed at the fact that I have things to say. Not that anyone cares to read them, but the fact that there are things on my mind enough to write them down. Where's my journal?

Quote of the day:
A crazy lady (literally) in Lexington who thinks she's Serena Rothchild (yeah) came into the pharmacy and said "you Lexington people have no vocabulary.  I'm from New York and and am amazed by the simpletons here".....
I ain't sure what you talkin' 'bout woman, but Ginians speak real good.

Let's see....

I have decided to utilize this blog.  We have a family blog, but blah blah blah other people read that and I'd like to put random Anneness on here. SO here we go!!!

Things I will include in my Anne-filled blog:
Random thoughts of the day
Comments on books I am reading (or listening to, because I do that a lot as well)
You know, life stuff.

And since Brandon will most likely be the only one who will ever read this, I can feel free to be myself!

Work.
May I just say that I 50% LOVE my job, 35% feel so-so about it, 10% mostly hate it, and 5% absolutely hate it. I suck at being on time.  Really.  Punctuality is not one of those gifts that I was born with and I have not yet taken the time to master it. Well, I'm glad to at-least work in a place that doesn't particularly care if I'm late. Today, I was 15 minutes late, yesterday: 22 min, the day before that, probably 15 min again.  I hate that I'm always late, but it's so typical that no one blinks an eyelash when I walk in.  Of-course, they probably talk about me the whole time between 9 and 9:13 when I come in and refuse to look at the clock and acknowledge the severity of my lateness. But I don't care. I get to keep my job and things are cool.  I always stay 20-30 min late (to counterbalance my morning lateness, and my return-from-lunch lateness as well). On the days that the boss-man is there, I attempt to put forth an extra effort, but it doesn't always work out for me. Tomorrow happens to be a boss-is-on-the-premises day and I have already planned to go to bed early so that I don't sleep in.  My problem is that I often get up at 8:26 when I have to leave at 8:45 in order to get there on time. Now, my alarm is set at 7:45 and I just suck at making myself get up. I can't do it! Literally, I open my eyes, and they close on their own! How did I ever get though college? Oh...right...I was either always late for my morning classes or I skipped them to sleep in. Right. *sigh* one day I'll grow up, but I don't foresee that day being any time soon.  I also don't feel like this is a "real job" so that probably has something to do with it.

Potter.
So, as lame as it may seem, books, movies and other forms of entertainment are a very large part of my life. Fortunately I married a man who is in sync with me on this, and he accepts me for who I am.  I have more books than clothes and shoes combined. Books never go out of style! and I have more movies than...I don't know. It goes: books, movies, saved magazines then clothes and shoes. That's how my priorities are, I guess.  Anyway, the biggest of them all is Harry Potter.  Yes, Harry Potter, that guy with a scar on his head and a holly wand with a unicorn core in his hand. And as most lesser Potter fans also know, the next movie is coming out soon!
Now, this poster is as far as I'll go in getting a sneak peek at the upcoming movie. I REFUSE to watch the trailer (have since movie 4) before I see the movie, and I definitely go see it on opening night because I simply can't wait longer than that.
I've gone at midnight since movie 4, since they didn't have midnight showings near me for the first 3, but I still went for the first showing that was available. But I've never had a party.  This year...there will be a party. Oh yes, and awesomeness will occur.  Here are a few ideas:
