Perchance to Dream

Our new house -

in my dreams.

I've been thinking a lot about where I want to go in my life, and this is one of them. Ireland - not necessarily this specific castle.

So, we're going to make a list.  A pretty list with pretty pictures. A dream list, of sorts.

Destination #1:

Destination #2:

New Zealand

Destination #3:

Italy

Destination #4:

Egypt

Destination #5:

South Africa

Destination #6:

Thailand

Destination #7:
Holland

And you can't forget

Destination #8:

England

So that's 1-8.

I want to see the world, and one day I will.

But today I will sit and dream and look at pictures and I'll be happy about it :)

Because I do love Buena Vista (no matter how much I really hate it)

Something unwicked this way comes

I got a free trial of Photoshop and I'm in love.

I've been mostly focusing on our wedding photos because it's been almost 3 years and I haven't done anything to them yet.
This is a great one:

Haha. This took me FOREVER because there were lots of people in the background.
This is also the main backdrop of our family wedding photos because it started to rain, and I wanted to doctor a picture so we were by the peristyle for my Mom, but I could not, COULD NOT get it to look right! So, this was the closest I got:

We look photoshoped, but that's okay. It looks 100% better than it does in full color. This one is for my Mom, though, so if she likes it, then I'm good.

Spring is coming, by-the-way. I'm excited. :)

No, we don't have any real flowers yet, but this is something that I'm looking forward to!

And we'll go camping soon.

And play croquet.

And go on long walks in picturesque places.

Maybe see a castle or two, seeing as how there are so many of them in Virginia.

Maybe get my hair cut like this.

Certainly we'll go see the Salem Red Sox again

And of-course I'll have a garden, and it'll look like this.

Bones and crazy blogs

I love television. And I am not ashamed to admit it. Recently I have been watching a tv show called Bones and it's amazing! I went through 5 seasons in about 2.5 weeks, which was pretty easy to do since they are all on Netflix instant play. (Netflix is the greatest creation to ever hit the entertainment world) Well, since season six is currently being aired, I have had to find sites that let me watch it online. Hulu is naturally the immediate go-to, but since it only has the episodes that are available on the Fox website (which was actually my first stop), I've had to find the first 8 episodes elsewhere. Megavideo is the devil, if you weren't aware, and since Google didn't show any listings on there anyway, I was good. Well, the main site that I was stuck with was one called "VuReel" (never heard of it? me neither) and I hate it. MegaVideo is at least predictable. This site takes 8 years to buffer, so unless I let the site load for literally 2 hours, I have to watch my episode in spurts. Well, I am on episode 8 (remember, episode 9 is available on the Fox website - oh sweet glory), and about 10 minutes into the episode, I had to stop and wait for it to load some more.  Well, I have long ago exhausted the entertainment value of things such as random facebook pages and blogs that I follow, since I've been having to deal with this problem for 7 previous episodes, so I decided to click on the "next blog" link at the top of a friend's blog. And what did I find?
4 things.
1. Photography blogs.
2. Stupid blogs that haven't been updated since 2009.
3. Religious blogs (including one LDS one) that are so in your face it's ridiculous (the LDS one wasn't - just an update blog for a girl on her mission)
4. The occasional family blog.

Can you guess which one had the overwhelming monopoly of the blogosphere?

The religious ones. Blog after blog of Fellowship this, and youth group that, and my favorite verse is this, and God has called me to do this. Oh. My. Gosh. There was one from England that was slightly interesting, but all of the other ones seemed very... monochromatic, for lack of a better term at the moment. Now, obviously, I believe in Christ, and I believe that He speaks to us if we just listen, I just find it strange that there is this whole world of blogs out there that publicize everything.
I know I know, the internet is a great place to share testimonies and spread the gospel. I know. But sometimes, blogs like that seem to take away the personal aspect of that relationship you gain with Heavenly Father and our Savior and crush it. I'm not saying that people shouldn't talk about religion. And goodness, I don't follow any of those blogs, so they can say whatever the heck they want (so can people I do follow, btw). It's just not something that I find uplifting, edifying or remotely spiritually strengthening. I'll stick to my scriptures and Ensign.

Yeah. True story.

P.S. in case any of my friends were wondering...truly, no one that I follow or that I'm actually friends with has EVER posted a post that has made me think these things about them. :) Just so you know. In case someone was worried that I was secretly talking about them too, because I wasn't.

Now back to my episode. Dr. Brennan has discovered something and I think that it has buffered enough for me to at least watch her finish her sentence before it pauses again.
