Change is in the air

I woke up this morning, like every other Sunday morning, and plopped myself onto the couch to watch tv until it's time to get ready for church (yay church at 1pm). And I did something this morning that I haven't done in a very long time. I turned off the AC. What? Holy crap! Yup, didn't need it!  The tiles on the laundry room floor were cold and there's a nip in the air.  Now, I know this isn't yet a permanent thing, but fall is coming! Everyone has their own way of telling when the fall season is officially approaching (minus looking at the calendar) and this is mine. Cold tiles and no ac. :) Tomorrow is Labor Day, which is the bitter-sweet mark of the end of summer. It has been a gruesome summer, and all I have to say that if this winter is anything like last winter, I'm moving. Somewhere with mild summers and winters, somewhere I enjoy being outside all year long, not just spring and fall.

Well, tomorrow's Labor Day (as previously stated) and there will be grills blazing, people watching parades, parties galore and lots and lots of drinking.  But what will  Brandon and I be doing? GOING TO BOSTON! Yup, tomorrow morning, we will be tipping our hats to the Beeve and watching the horizon for the amazing city of Boston. Of-course, we won't actually see it until Tuesday, but that's not the point.

Here are a few things on our agenda:

HARTFORD, CT

COLLINSVILLE, CT
Why Collinsville, you ask? Well, it's the real-life town (or as close as we can get to it) of Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls. :)

BOSTON, MA
Our Hotel - a block from:

And then....

At the Boston Opera House:
We are sitting in the front balcony seats. So, those right there. :)

Some stuff I'd like to see:
Old North Church & Paul Revere Statue

Awesome North End stuff.

Cheers. This is for Brandon, but I can't wait to go either.

Just cross your fingers that we don't do anything stupid and get in trouble with the:

Oh! And don't forget...
HARVARD
Yup, I'd LOVE to see Harvard! Maybe we could sit in on a class or 2. After-all, it's the beginning of the semester, so they wouldn't notice a new face, right? I think I can still pass for a freshman. *ahem*

Anyway, now that I've looked at tons and tons and tons of pictures, I'm so freakin' pumped that I can't stand myself and now I have to go sit in church and daydream about Boston.  Good thing it's Brandon's turn to teach the kiddos, so I have more free brain time! :)

Then when we get back, it's time to PACK because we move soon! It's another bitter-sweet thing that we're staying in BV, but we've decided to grow where we've been planted.
